TAL Y LLYN SWIM
In partnership with the Tyn Y Cornel Hotel we bring you beautiful lake swimming in a magical part of Snowdonia National Park. A chance to immerse yourself in this stunning glacial ribbon lake situated at the foot of one of Wales' most iconic mountains, Cadair Idris.

THE COOL MILE & KM
SAT 06 Nov 2021
- COOL K - £30 (until 1st June); £35 (until 30th October)
- COOL MILE - £35 (until 1st June); £40 (until 30th October)
Expect the water temperature in the lake to be around 6°C to 8°C. The temperature varies depending on the preceding weather. We will keep you updated on the water temperature in the days leading up to the event. Hot Ribena available after each lap. Please don't enter if you are not acclimatised to cold water swimming.
For safety reasons the course will be 4 laps of 400m for the mile; 2 laps of 500m for the km.

Water temperature depends on the preceding weather, we will keep you updated on the run up to the event. Being shallow the lake temperature can change quickly. Below is a history of the event day temps (summer events):
- 2018 - 21 degrees Celsius
- 2019 - 13 degrees Celsius
- 2020 - 14 degrees Celsius
- 2021 - 15.5 degrees Celsius
